About Me:

I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, where I participated in sailing regattas worldwide. My passion for sailing led me to earn a bachelor’s degree in Management with a concentration in Accounting from Boston College’s Carroll School of Management. Currently, I am pursuing a Master of Science in Accounting (M.S.A.) at Boston College’s Carroll School of Management, with the goal of a career in public accounting.

After relocating from San Francisco to Boston, I faced fewer opportunities to compete on the water. Consequently, I’ve focused on honing my photography and digital editing skills, utilizing my sailing knowledge to capture the most memorable moments on the water. I believe that tides, wind, waves, and the sun play crucial roles in achieving the best angles and capturing the essence of these moments.

In addition to sailing photography, I enjoy capturing candid moments with my camera when I walk around towns and cities, both new and old. I strive to represent the truth of life rather than staged photos. San Francisco, in particular, is a city that constantly changes at a fast pace, making it challenging to capture the essence of its moments. This is why I enjoy trying to capture these truthful moments.

Finally, I have a passion for graphic design work, especially repairing old photos. I work with photos ranging from the early 1910s to the early 2000s, removing creases, oil stains, and color distortion. I take old, damaged black and white photos, scan them at high quality, and repair the image. I also increase the image’s size and create black and white color scales to add color and recreate the original moment.
My name is Caitlin Froeb, and I am a photographer and visual artist who specializes in both digital and film photography. I am also an expert in all Adobe Products, particularly focusing on digital art and graphic design. In photography, I specialize in event documentation and portrait-style shoots. I utilize Adobe tools to preserve, restore, and revitalize archival scanned negatives and images.
