Thank you for your service, and thank you for allowing me to document your holiday celebration.
This holiday gathering brought together veterans and the people who celebrate them. Half the room had served, and that half set the tone for the whole evening.
I was invited in as a photographer and left feeling like a guest of honor. These are people who spent years showing up for others, and on this December night, they showed up for a good meal, good company, and a little well-earned celebration. You didn't have to let me in, and I won't forget that you did.
